Building my notebook

I spent a big chunk of my day today putting together a household notebook. I took inspiration from numerous websites, and took advantage of free printables that I found online, and I must say that it is coming together nicely. As soon as it is finished I will post pictures.

I woke up and made Clay lunch today. After he left for work, I had my quiet time. I read my daily devotional, a chapter from my current book (The Power of a Praying Wife), and prayed, prayed, prayed!!!

This weekend Clay and I re-arranged our bedroom, and today I made it spotless. I love that it feels relaxing as soon as you walk in the room. It looks so pretty that I WANT to keep it clean. The more I progress on the "becoming a better wife, cleaning my house, organizing my life, Proverbs 31/Titus 2 thing" the farther I want to go. My house is more "put-together" now than it has ever been, and I love it. I feel relaxed walking into a clean room!

My current problem is that Chanel loves eating my house plants. I can't leave them on the kitchen counter as they currently are. She has taken a special liking to a purple cow-bell ivy. I tried keeping this specific plant off the floor for a fw days, and then put is back down today, and sure enough, she ate it as soon as I took my eye off her. ARH!!! It was an outdoor plant that was only supposed to last for a year, but I loved it so much that I have brought her inside to try and keep her going till this summer. If only she survives Chanel....

You are a cutie!!!! Thanks for the encouragement on the home school. I had used PACEs in the past with my daughter...2 years worth in all subjects and she did terrible. She never did the reading and would guess at the fill ins. No learning there...well it was just her, because my son LOVES them. It makes more work for me because I have to teach twice, but it is worth it. I may try her again. I ordered Science and Social Studies and they came today...5th grade looks much more difficult than the 3rd grade ones she stopped at. My friend also used PACEs and she has graduated 2 and still has 3 in and 1 toddler. All her kids used that curriculum from the beginning and they are some smart kids. It is very expensive though :(
I look forward to seeing your binder!

Hi, there! I found you through your comment on Bren's blog. Like you, I am a young wife (we have been married 2 years). We have a lot in common! I live in north Texas, pretty close to the state line. I look forward to reading your blog in the future!

I'm going to ditto the girl above me, except I'm from Tulsa. :)

If only husbands understood the necessity of shining our sinks! I've learned a lot from flylady this past year!
